I read with great interest your post on researching buddhism. I like it as its more snack-bite sized information designed to create awareness and send people on the right way for information. Well done I suppose on the simplicity.

I do have 1 question about Buddhism that having seen no proper avenue for question, I thought I ask here:
Buddha was a born Hindu. Much of his teachings did originate from the Hindu religion, althought if i'm not mistaken, they underwent some form of changes in China later on.

Why do many Buddhist(s) or literatures choose not to say this? My brother in England comments that people there think Buddhism originated China and not Nepal/India as was originally thought?

Do Buddhists not like to be associated with it's roots?
